About the site
This site is for my own classes in the Scottish Borders, and for any pupil who finds it useful. It is free.
It covers:
- Physics: S3, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher
- Electronics: National 5
- Engineering Science: S3 and National 5, with Higher coming soon
Everything matches the current Qualifications Scotland courses.
On the site you will find:
- notes with worked examples
- lesson slides as PDFs, many with a copy that shows the answers
- self-marking practice tests and past-paper practice
- apps to plan circuits on stripboard and breadboard, and a block diagram builder
- progress badges, saved only on your own device — nothing is sent anywhere
It is built for the iPads and phones pupils use. I am working through every page to make it neurodivergent-friendly: clearer, calmer and easier to read.
About Mr Stewart
Hi, I'm Mr Stewart! I teach Physics, Electronics and Engineering Science in the Scottish Borders.
My first teaching placement was back in 2017, and I've been at my school since 2020.
This year you'll find me teaching National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Physics, National 5 Electronics, and National 4 and 5 Engineering Science.
Electronics and Engineering Science are special to me. Neither was taught at my school before — I set them both up.
Electronics is my favourite. You get your hands on real circuits. If something doesn't work, you test it and fix it — and you always get there in the end.
Why I built this site
I started it a year ago. I wanted one place for everything my classes need, and an app to plan circuits on stripboard. It has grown ever since, and I keep improving it.
It is for my own classes, for pupils anywhere, and for other teachers who want to use it with their classes.
The site is free and always will be. If it has helped you, you can buy me a coffee towards the running costs. It is completely optional.
